Why does cleaning have to be so hard??

I worked like crazy yesterday cleaning the livingroom and diningroom. We even washed the covers on the loveseats and it looked great in here at bedtime. Well that was short lived. This morning Kathy got the mini chocolate chips out and now I have melted chocolate all over one of the love seats. If that wasn't bad enough I went and took a shower this morning. Come back out and she's wasted the entire BRAND new package of mini chocolate chips !!! They are all over the diningroom floor and the girls table. SO I had to vacuum them up. And of course MIL calls at the worst time when I am in a REALLY bad mood and trying to clean those up and just totally ticked that I cleaned and now I have to clean it all over again!!!! I still need to do bathrooms BUT have to find the livingroom and diningroom AGAIN before I can get to that. I really wanted to have a relaxing day today and paint eggs with the girls this afternoon, BUT now that's the last thing I want to do because it's just another mess I'm gunna be forced to clean up.

getting ready for warm weather

I am sooo ready for warmer weather!! I have been working on the front yard moving things around and cleaning the porch and patio furniture. I still plan to make a play area for Chris with a superyard out front w/ some of the toys. I also want a loveseat/bench for the front porch.

I am also trying to grow tomatoes, carrots and zuchinni from seeds. Here is what we have so far. I'm thrill I even got the seeds to sprout!!! We're going to grow them in 5 gallon containers out in the back yard this summer.

Poor Mr Ben

Took him to the doctor yesterday and he was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis and sent home w/ orders to do albuterol nebulizer treatments every 4-6 hours, run a cool mist humidifier and try to keep his poor nose clear of boogers. He does pretty well till early morning and then he's mr misserable:( I was up at 1:30 am doing a breathing treatment for him. Here is a pic of him getting a treatment about 11:30 am today.

I LOVE sales!!

We went to the mall today after taking Kathy to school. Well Claires was doing the 10 fo $5 sale and boy did I luck out. I picked out 10 items I really liked. After we left the mall I added up the regular prices and it came to $91!! Here is a pic of what i bought

Driving home from school today Kayleigh saw all the kids sledding. We got home and she begged Daddy to go sledding and he said ok IF mommy took her. So we found our tube and got it blown up and got snow boots on and headed over to Suicide Hill.

Kayleigh had a BLAST!!! I decided to take one more turn and well went backwards and flipped over in the mud. Here is picture proof that well maybe 30 yr olds should NOT try the fast side of the hill.

FINALLY snow!!!

We're finally getting a winter storm up in Northern Arizona!! When we measured this afternoon there was already about 10-12 inches on the ground and it was still snowing!! Here are some pics from the girls playing in the snow today. They had a blast out there, Kayleigh finally came in on her own because she was cold. Now Kathleen well Daddy had to go chase her into the house. Then she threw a major temper tantrum while we were trying to take her hat, gloves, coat, snow pants and boots off. We didn't want them out there too long since it was 25 with a wind chill of 12.

Our trip to Phoenix

We went to Phoenix yesterday for Ben's clinic appt. Looks like we'll be heading up to Utah for the surgeries on 8/4 , admit to the hospital 8/6, surgery 8/7, and then hopefully drive home 8/13. That works out perfect since school starts on 8/16.

After the clinic appt we went to Rain forest Cafe for lunch.


After lunch we went shopping at Ikea then headed towards home. We got home just as the snow was starting. Here is a picture of what it looked like as we were driving home just north of Munds Park and a few miles south of home.
I'll post more snow pictures later on today.

My boys are growing up too fast!

I can't believe Chris is 22 months and Ben is almost 8 months old already!! Where has the time gone?? They are both growing up so much now. Chris is mr busy and into EVERYTHING. He LOVES to climb anything that will stand still long enough. He's also got a temper if things don't go his way. But he can also be the sweetest little guy and love on his brother or sit and snuggle with Kayleigh. His latest thing is counting, he seems to love to say numbers.

Ben is just a big ol snuggle bug. He loves to snuggle and has the cutest laugh. He's one happy dude. He can also move the walker some while he's in it, he gets pretty excited about making it move too.

Also yesterday we got a call from Shriner's Hospital to set up a surgery date for Kathy and Ben. They are scheduled to be admitted on 8/6 and they will both have surgery on 8/7. If you don't remember Kathy is having another surgery on her feet, this time a bi-lateral tendon transfer. Ben is having his extra toes removed. I'll post another update on them after the outreach clinic appt on Friday.

Latest family news

For those that don't know just a few days after we bought Stuart we bought a 2nd hamster, George. HEre is a pic of them together(left).

Also we took Ben for his late 6 month check up yesterday and he's now 16 lbs 5.5 oz. He's one big dude at least compared to his siblings at the same age. Here is a pic from about 2 weeks ago.

Yep we went and bought the kids a dwarf hamster this morning. Here are some pictures of him. It's hard to get a good picture of him right now he keeps hiding and then the flash is too bright.

Today was the class Pioneer Museum so all the parents could see the projects all the kids and parents did. Kayleigh had a blast showing us the things she did in her class. Kathleen had fun watching the class pet, a hamster. So now we are looking at getting a pet hamster this next week
